Ok... So lets just dive right into this weight loss situation shall we? I have so much to tell everyone but as most of ya'll know I lost my mother 4 months ago. She died of lung cancer and through her struggle I learned so much. Number 1 being to appreciate my health. I've always been overweight except when I was a little kid... like a really little kid.. like probably 4 years old... that probably doesn't even count.. but ya know what at one point in life I WAS skinny danggit! Moving on... After seeing how sick my mother was and how she would have done anything to be fine got me to thinking of how much I took advantage of my health. There was nothing I could do for her but to pray for her but me? I was fine but I insisted on eating deeeeelicious dairy queen cheeseburgers and chocolate donuts ALL the stinking time! What was I thinking? You can't go on like that. So I decided that I COULD control my weight and my lifestyle and that folks is totally up to me! And for once I wanted to get into it and stick to it! So I'm 5 weeks in and I'm loving it! I've lost 14lbs, So here is what i'm doing!
I didn't want to do some sort of fad diet or some kind of diet pills. So i'm still learning a ton but for the most part here is my plan! If anyone has some helpful info or any advice feel free to comment or message me! Anywho I started doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and uh... let me tell ya OUCH! She don't play ya'll... I do that daily. After that I do at least 30 minutes of cardio whether that be treadmill or zumba. Some days I do some different work outs I find on pinterest and I've been doing a lot of arm exercises. I'm SOOO ready for spring and to ditch all the heavy clothes! Long Live flip flops!
My food varies and I still get confused about how much of what I'm supposed to have but breakfast usually goes like this:
2 Scrambled Eggs, some fruit, some orange juice sometimes a piece of toast
OR
A cup of special K Vanilla Almond (if you haven't tried it I demand you leave now to go get some!) with a banana
Lunch:
Turkey Sandwich on Wheat with tomato and spinach and a piece of pepper jack cheese.. OK OK I know cheese is a no no usually but I feel that it is necessary! With a piece of fruit or some veggies, broccoli, cauliflower
OR
Salad
Supper:
I get creative with chicken and ground turkey or salmon and flounder! I'll start posting some recipes i've tried!
I try to keep my calories between 1200-1500 and drink tons of water!
I also drink a cup of green tea... the real stuff ya know from a tea bag not the fake stuff that tastes GOOD from the store already bottled up... this stuff is rough but its good for you and good for helping burn fat! So I suck it up! sometimes i'm weak and throw it out... I also eat a grapefruit almost every day, lucky for me I like grapefruit! Also really good for helping burn fat! Or so i'm told...
I would do some cool pic of me when I was smaller and then give you a perfectly well explanation as to why I had gained weight but alas... I dont have a pic or a reason! ha! so all the more reason to get rid of this junk!
