My Story

My name is Ashleigh and I'm from a one stop light town in Jackson Co. KY. For the most part I love it here. I hear a lot of people complain about it or they say, "when I can, i'm getting out of here." For whatever reason I've never really wanted to leave. I love the small town life although it would be nice to live somewhere more convenient as far as shopping goes... but for the most part I've loved all 25 years here in Jackson County.

I wanted to start blogging because I loved the inspiration I found from so many others. Blogging creates such a community of friends and thats encouraging to me. I like to vent about life situations and go on about some new product i've bought. I also wanted to blog to journal my life and maybe from something i've been through or done can help someone else out!

I married Ryan aka 5-0 Hubby on June 28th, 2008. It's had its ups and downs but i'm so happy at the place we are at now. We were both so young when we got married so we've grew up a lot since then. I've learned to bite my tongue on silly issues and to cherish every thing.

I lost my mother to Lung Cancer on Nov. 4th, 2012. It was the most devastating trial i've ever been through in my life but God picked me up and carried me through it. He is still helping me more then I can comprehend or deserve. Soon I'll have her amazing story on here!

With that said, my main purpose in this life is serving Christ. I was raised to know him, appreciate him, honor him, and to believe in him, but I didn't fully serve him until July of 2007. A series of random events led me to a little church, Waneta Church of God. On that night I accepted him whole heartily and I dove straight into worshipping and working for him! It was the most important decision of my life.

I'm on this weightloss journey and I"ve found inspiration from so many others and I hope to be and inspiration to someone whether that be encouraging them to serve the Lord or just decide to get healthy or ultimately, both!

I have a love for animals, hair, make up, and recipes! My thoughts can be pretty random but for the most part i'm low key. Join me on this journey!
